Abnormal Beak

Our keet has an abnormally long beak on one side. What can we do? What to trim it with? How close to trim? Should we let the vet do so?

I would definitely talk to a vet about this - the strange beak growth may be caused by some sort of infestation. You want to cure the problem itself - not just keep shaving at the beak.
