Stuck on Step 3

I THINK YOUR SITE IS VERY HELPFUL AND ON ONE PAGE IT SAYS ALL THE STEPS TO GETTING THE BIRD TO SIT ON YOUR FINGER...WELL I CAN ONLEY MAKE IT TO STEP THREE..WHERE IT SAYS TO HAVE THE BIRD TO SIT ON THE PERCH WITH YOU FINGER ON IT... MY BIRD IS A BOY PARAKEET AND HE ONLEY SITS ON THE PERCH PART..ONCE IN A BLUE MOON HE WILL STAND ON MY FINGER BUT THEN HE JUST FLYS OFF AGAIN!! HE WILL SIT ON THE PERCH WHILE I HOLD IT AND WILL LET ME PET HIM HE JUST WONT SIT ON MY FINGER!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

Remember, keets live for 15-20 years. It can take weeks to train a keet - but even so that is a tiny, tiny drop in the bucket of a keet's life! Keep at it and work on it daily. The real aim of training is to build a personal bond between you and the keet. It is all about helping the bird learn to trust you. Each bird will do that at his or her own rate.
