Lettuce but Not Fruit

I cannot get my budgies interested in eating fruit. They do love romaine lettuce, but they show no interest in fruit. I heard it is good for them, but they seem to ignore it completely. Is there any way I can persuade them to try it? Love your web site!

It's great you have them eating lettuce! That's always a great place to start. I have a lot of information on the lisashea.com site about teaching the keets to try different foods, and there is a lot of discussion about it in our forums too. Some keets just don't like certain foods. But for each item, say bananas, work on it for a solid week or two, every day. Make sure you eat it in front of them constantly, hold them while you eat it, put it all around their cage. Eventually they'll get curious and try it. But just as you like some foods and don't like others, keets are the same way.
