When Do I Start Training my Parakeet?

Hello! i saw your page on Parakeets and i was wondering if you could help me out, or direct me to someone who can. I just bought an albino Parakeet baby, and i want to know what time is the best time to start training him/her, and he/she likes to fly away from my hand when i put it in. How can i prevent that and show him/her i'm not an enemy?
