this is my second bird my first one seemed like he loved me but my second one is a girl and she seems like she hates me!

It's a mess even though I found so much info on your website it helps so much but I still have some problems.First of all my bird is scared of me and i'm trying to teach it how to say my name nothing so far. When I reach my hand in

here cage and she flaps around. I give her fresh fruit and veggies but she dosen't eat them. I was going through your Questions and answers and I learned

about that it's not good to have a mirror in untamed bird and I took that out that's a start. I've had my bird since the beginning of Jan. and still haven't taken her to the vet I know that's bad but i'm trying. I'm trying to teach my bird how to say my name but she just looks at me like i'm crazy! I love her but she dosen't love me. I have learned a lot about birds but I guess I have more to learn. Do you teach one thing at a time or not. I need help with everthing about training and taming.

It can easily take MANY weeks of daily training before a keet is hand trained! It really sounds like you're rushing things. It can take *months* to teach a keet to talk. Remember, keets live for 15-20 years. A few weeks or months is only a tiny drop in the bucket of this keet's total life. It's like you want a 3 week old baby to play the piano :)

So work daily on the hand training, I have full instructions on the site. And once the keet is hand trained, you can work on teaching her to talk - but realize that it will take a while.
