How Old is my Keet

User Question
I just bought two new keets, a male and a female but I forgot to ask how old they were. Is there any way t tell on my own or do I need to ask the pet store or a Vet?

Lisa's Answer
There is no way to know how old a keet is. I have pages on the site about this. You can make a guess by how stripey its forehead is, but that is just a random guess. That only tells you "young" or "not young". Really in the end it doesn't matter, all keets can be trained. However if you got a male and female you really need to talk to a vet about all issues involving breeding, if you are going to have them in one cage. It is critical you understand that very thoroughly and have the proper equipment before the eggs start appearing.
