What the Bird Does while You're Away

I was wondering what I should do with my bird, when I get it, while I'm at school. Should I cover the cage and play music, or what??

Also, which gender is "a better choice" or more cooperative and friendly??

A bird is asleep during all dark hours and awake during all light hours. It would be really cruel to cover your bird up and make it dark during the only few hours it gets of sunlight!! You need to let your bird be active, happy, play some music, maybe have a little TV going. This is when your bird is awake. You can't undo his genetic training for your own personal comfort :)

All keets have their own personalities, whether they're boys or girls. Some are acrobats, some are talkers, some are singers, some are bell ringers. You need to accept what the keet is like. It's like having a baby. You can't pre-order a baby that fits into your idea of what a child should be :)
