Confused about Keet Breeding

hi! im planning on breeding parakeets and have reaserched alot, but there were a couple of questions i still couldnt get answered, 1.i read your page on keet breeding and i was confused about 1 thing, is it true that the male hops ono the females back when they mate? 2.how much time is there between mating and the first egg bein laid?

It really sounds like you have to TALK TO A VET. It is critical that you take both keets in for a full medical checkup before you start making them go through that level of stress. They need special vitamins. You need special equipment in case of trouble. You need a 24 hr phone number so you can race them in to the vet if they really get into a situation. If you don't even know how a male gets on top of a female yet, it sounds like you haven't been to the vet yet to start any of this process!
