Getting a Parakeet In its Cage

User Question
how do i get my parakeet back into its cage?

Lisa's Answer
Ummmmm you put it on your finger, and bring it to its cage? Your parakeet should NEVER be out of its cage if it is not hand trained. That is a sure recipe for disaster. What if an emergency hit and you had to leave the room right away - you can't just leave the parakeet loose to die. You have to bring the cage with you. Either your keet is hand trained and is allowed to come out - or your keet is not hand trained and is NOT allowed out. Those should be the only two options. Most cages let you change the food, water and cage lining without opening up the main doors to the cage. So the keet really shouldn't be able to escape.
