Keet Bobbing Head and Squawking

User Question
I have a female parakeet named Keetsia. She likes to periodically hang-out on top of her cage (where her bath and gym is located). My question is, Why does she bow her head sometimes when I look and talk to her? Her cage is located right next to my computer. If I leave the room she squawks. Also she bobs her head up and down while she is sitting in her door when I talk to her. I was just wondering what is all means.

Lisa's Answer
We talk about this stuff a lot in the forum. Keets bob their heads just as a friendly movement. It doesn't have a specific meaning. Keets hate to be alone. They squawk if you abandon them. That's pretty normal - human babies do that too :)
