New Keet Bites

User Question
I just got a new Parakeet after my other passed away. My old parakeet did not bite at ALL. it never bit me once. My new parakeet is a lot different. He will bite me whenever i change his food and water i can't figure out why because i turn on music and talk softly to him but he always bites me even if im trying to give him food or water. Please help if you have any idea why he is like that. Thanks!

Lisa's Answer
Every keet is different and has a very different background. It might be that your first keet was hand raised, but that your new keet wasn't. It makes a huge difference in how a keet relates to humans. Just work through the hand training information day by day - and your keet will soon learn to trust you!
