How do you know if a parakeet is pregnant? What are the symptoms?

It is really critical, if you have a a male and female keet together, that both of them are fully checked out by a vet. You need to make sure that both are fully healthy and ready to mate before you allow them to be together. If you even suspect that a keet is ready to have an egg it is critical to have a vet involved so that the keet stays healthy. Keets can become egg bound and die unless you make sure they are fully fortified and fed nutritious food. A vet can help insure that!
