Clumsy New Keet with Hurt Wing

User Question
We just purchased a parakeet yesterday. The parakeet sticks out one wing a little bit a lot of the time, but not always. We were wondering if this is normal or could maybe it have hurt itself. It seems pretty young and seems to be a little clumpsy in the cage at times. Thank you.

Lisa's Answer
Young keets are definitely clumsy and it could be that the keet injured its wing a bit during the move or just during normal cage activity. If you've only had the keet a day you probably haven't taken him in for his new keet checkup yet - I'm sure the vet can take a look at the wing and let you know if there's anything wrong with it!
