Two Male and One Female Parakeet

User Question
I'm starting to suspect that I've got one female and two males. Do I need to prepare ahead of time for if they breed? How do I make a nesting area? Will they instinctively know to use the nesting area?

I would REALLY read this page on parakeet breeding -

before you start heading down that road. And if you really did start to get into breeding, I really wouldn't keep two males in with one female! Think of it with humans. If you had a pretty girl, would you have two guys live in an apartment with her, both wanting to marry her, and then have her choose one but still live with the other guy too? That's a sure way to create jealousy and unhappiness all around. The second male wouldn't be overly fond of the new babies taking up his cage ... if you really want to keep all 3 as pets in the same cage I would actively DIScourage them from doing anything remotely involving a nesting area ...
