8 in 1 Conditioning Health Blend Seed

This small tin of seed is promoted as a wholesome, nutritious blend of seed - and should be in *addition* to a regular diet. I respect 8-in-1 a lot for saying that. They aren't saying to only feed this seed to your keet. They're saying it should be a PART of the daily diet of your keet.

That's because seed is fortified by rolling it in vitamin dust - and as a keet hulls its seed before eating it, that all simply falls to the floor of the cage :) Also, when you look at the seeds in here, they are white millet, red millet, canary grass seed, rape seed, oat groats ... i.e. just your average, ordinary seed selection you find in even the cheapest seed blends. There are a few unusual seeds thrown in, in lesser quantities, but in essence you're getting a 'basic seed blend' here with vitamin coating on the outside.

That all being said, keets do like seeds. Seeds are fun for them to open, it's what their beaks were meant to do. It keeps their muscles exercised, their eyes sharp. It's in their nature. So you should feed your keet some seeds each day, just as you feed them some veggies and some other things too. If you're going to feed your keet seeds, you might as well feed them a nice variety of seeds that have some vitamins in there. Who knows, maybe some of the vitamin dust will get into their mouth as they hull the seeds :)
