Vitacraft Egg Kracker Sticks

This really is parakeet candy, even more so than straight millet. You get millet seed coated with wheat flour and egg powder, plus algae and molasses to hold it together. Yummmmmmmmm. Yes, my keets love it and gobble it up whenever I put it in the cage. But this definitely should be an occasional treat, and not an every-day meal.

It is a good treat in the sense that the keets really have to gnaw away to get their food - which exercises their normal beak muscles. In the wild, a keet wouldn't just get nice bowls of easy to grab food! That seek-and-find-and-wrestle is a normal part of real keet life.
