BeakBlock Nature's Mineral Block ReviewThis block says that it's "Nature's Mineral Block" somehow implying that it is natural, but of course it is not. It's a man-made substitute for a cuttlebone, to let a keet trim his beak and get calcium in his diet. That's not a bad thing, it's just a bit deceptive. This block actually is well fortified with lots of other vitamins too - from vitamin A, E, C, B12 and more. Most cuttlebones just have calcium in them. Fortified seeds are usually dusted on the outside with vitamins, and the keets just drop those hulls on the ground when they eat the seed. So given your choices on how to get vitamins into your keet, this is actually a resonably good one. I like the "orange" variety of this - you can tell when your keets are eating it because they get orange powder all over their faces :) I also like having a cuttlebone in the cage so they have different textures to chew on, but I would highly recommend this as enjoyed by keets and good for them!
