Epson Artisan 1430 PrinterNormally we're a HP house. Our last three printers have been a HP PSC 2175 Printer (jammed after 3 years), a HP Photosmart C309G Printer (jammed after 3 years), and our new HP Photosmart 7520 Printer (so far, so good). But I've been entering more art shows and the printing costs from photo stores adds up quickly, especially for large format prints. We bought this specifically just for printing prints for photo shows at that large format.
I am extremely happy with the print quality. I have won awards using this printer. The colors are just as I want them to be. I use Photoshop to work on my photos before sending them to the printer, I use the highest quality level of printing, and I use high quality photo paper. It takes a while to print. This isn't a dash-it-off-and-run-out-the-door thing. But the results are well worth it.
I wouldn't use this printer for an office situation where you're churning thousands of mail-form letters through it. You'd probably pay a fortune in ink costs. I'd keep this for those situations where you need the high quality photo results.
We use it wirelessly and it works like a charm. No issues.
I'll take off a star because of one annoying "feature" - if you're out of a certain color of ink it WILL NOT PRINT period. Even if you want to print something that doesn't use that color. Even if you don't care for some reason. The printer simply becomes inoperable before you go buy some more ink. And it is EXPENSIVE. So be prepared for that. Especially if you're doing large format, color-saturated images, you're going to use up ink fairly quickly. It makes sense. The ink on the image is coming from somewhere :).
So, in general, highly recommended for those looking to create high quality prints.
