How to Make an Excel 2010 Histogram
A histogram is in essence a vertical bar chart where all the bars have been squished together so there is no space between them. You do still want borders on the bars, though, so you can see where each individual one is.
Tips and FAQ for a Successful Home Business
To make a histogram using Excel 2010, first make up your table of data. You want one column with the labels and the other column with the numbers. Select those columns.
Next click on the Insert tab, and choose the vertical type of bar chart. This is how you begin.
Now click on the bars in the actual chart which was made to select all the bars. Use the right button to bring up the menu and format them. Edit the spacing width to 0. That way they squish up against each other.
While you're in there, give them a border as well.
