eBay Auction Sales and Assistance
Tips and FAQ for a Home Business
Surely you've heard at least one tale of someone making a good living selling items on eBay. The great wonder of eBay is that you can sell pretty much anything. I have one friend who is selling off his model car kit collection. Another goes to antique sales, buys items inexpensively, then sells them on eBay. One relative is selling off his record collection. I sell off my old games and books on tape. If you're a crafter, you can sell your craft items. If you have local items that are hard to get elsewhere (say seashells from a certain island), those might be really popular.
Keep an eye on holidays. Gift buyers are eager to get that one special present that stands out. Prime holidays include Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day. If you plan to sell items on those themes 2-3 weeks BEFORE those holidays, you will tend to attract a lot of attention.
