Photos of Poison Ivy RashesThese photos are from November 11th, 2011, Day 6 of the rash's progression. By now my eye was mostly closed and I got into the clinic at 10am to have it looked at. When the doctor came into the room he did a double take and said "Wow!" Not too encouraging :) Here's what I looked like right after leaving the clinic.
He definitely felt I needed to kick up my medicine levels. He put me on pregnozone, Allegra, and hydroxizine. We picked those up and headed home. Then I slept until 6pm. Here are my arms.
These are two of my stripes. They're definitely getting more red and angry.
When I woke up from my 6 hour nap my left eye was completely swollen shut. Bob had to use ice cube compresses on it to get it to open even a little. The two arm rashes seem less swollen than before although the right one is still regularly weeping out fluid. I can only hope these drugs kick in soon and begin to bring down the swelling and the weeping. Things are itchy but not overwhelmingly so. I can feel them, but it's a low enough level that I can resist acting on the urge.
