Beauty is a rose. A woman is a rose. The rose and its thorns represents the duality of life in many stories. Snow White and Red Rose are based on the rose.
It's no wonder that many of us have a love affair with roses. These delightful flowers come in all shades of the rainbow now, and all sizes as well.

This one is a Valentine's Day rose plant that my boyfriend gave me in February 2012. It was still blooming beautifully in August.

By November it was starting to look a bit crispy -
I was quite worried by December 22nd when it dropped nearly all of its leaves. I focused my attention on helping it through this tough time.
Amazingly, it then developed a whole new set of leaves! Here it is on January 20, 2013.
Different types of roses have different nutrient and sun needs, so be sure to research your specific rose to determine what is best for it!
