Lantana Photos and InformationI love lantanas. They look like jigsaw puzzle pieces! They are native to tropical regions and grow annually in the northeastern US. From the family Verbenaceae, they come in a variety of color combinations.
These Lantanas grow in Massachusetts. They are an annual here.
First, the ones from my garden in 2011. I was baffled by how they grew (or didn't grow). They are supposed to like light, but they would go from happy to droopy to blossom-filled to no-blossom in the blink of an eye. I am giving them a shot as an indoor plant through the winter.
Here's what it looked like when I brought it in.
These yellow ones below were planted alongside a bike path in Millbury MA.
