Ranking of Hands

A "suit" is a category of cards, i.e. hearts, spades, diamonds, or clubs
A "rank" is a number level of a card, i.e. Queens, or 9s, or 2s

Royal Flush : in the same suit, ace - king - queen - jack - ten all of hearts
Straight Flush : in the same suit, any five cards in order (i.e. two - three - four - five - six all of hearts)
Four of a Kind : Four cards of the same rank, across the suits (i.e. four Queens)
Full House : Three of one rank, two of another (i.e. three Jacks, two 9s)
Flush : Any five cards of the same suit (i.e. two - five - six - nine - ten all of hearts)
Straight / Run : Five cards in order, any suit (i.e. three - four - five - six - seven, any suit)
Three of a Kind : Three cards all of the same rank (i.e. three Queens of any suit)
Two Pair : Two pairs of matching cards of the same rank (i.e. two Queens and two 5s of any suit)
One Pair : One pair of matching cards of the same rank (i.e. two tens of any suit)
High Card : If nothing else works, you go with the highest card in your pile (Ace can be high or low)


Order of the cards:
ace - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - J - Q - K - ace
