I just loaded up fresh version of Believing Your Eyes – its BookBub ad starts in 12 hours! Woo hoo! It’s been quite the journey with this book. Four covers and quite a number of polishing runs on its content. This is perhaps the one I feel most strongly about – it portrays a heroine finding the strength to rise above a sexual assault. To forge a new path with her life.
Here’s my draft of the cover for medieval sweet romance #14, Wearing A Mask. What do you think? Suggestions? Ideas? I’m going to be doing this one as a prerelease – something I never, ever do. I like to revise to the very last minute. Having a lock-out on revisions is going to emotionally traumatize me :). Still, I figure I should test it at least once.
Evening meditation time. I’ve finished writing my 14th medieval novel. It just needs a cover :). Happy. #Namaste
Monday! My son stopped by for a visit, I had a wonderful porch yoga session, and now I’m doing a final pass on medieval book #14. What are you guys up to today? Doing any writing or art?
Hurrah! BookBub just accepted my book 3 in my medieval series, Believing Your Eyes, for an ad. It will run on September 20th! While this is book 3 in the current series order, it was actually the second story I’d ever written, done after Badge of Honor. It tackles the issues around recovering from rape.
Success! Book 14 in my medieval romance series with a sword-wielding heroine is ready for beta-readers! Now to track down a cover image!
OK progress despite the cute little woodpeckers who keep sitting next to me and staring at me! I finished the ending of the medieval novel #14 where it introduces the heroine of book #15. So the book is now complete! I’ll be needing a few beta-readers for book 14 once I do a few more passes on it. Let me know if you’d be interested! Note that this is a full length novel and not a short story :). You might want to read book 1 in the series, Knowing Yourself, which is free everywhere, to see if you like my style first. I don’t tend to write “docu-drama” books – they tend to be lighter and gentler. Some people like that, some people don’t, and that’s OK. They’re authentic but they’re not full of seeping boils and mud-cakes for dinner and similar things that some people feel medieval novels should feature.
My Sweet Romance medieval novel is still at #12 in entire Amazon Free store! Feeling so grateful!
Knowing Yourself – A Medieval Romance is now #23 in the entire Amazon Free store! Thank you all so much for your support!
OK time to get to sleep. My throat’s sore, but I’ve got up through chapter 14 of book 14 in my medieval series in solid shape. Maybe I should have 14 candles in the room or something :). Have a great day, everyone!
