Moments Haiku

Midst the greenery,
shaft of goldenrod stands out -
an earthbound sunbeam.

Pond's mirrored stillness
suddenly disturbed - a race
won by a small child.

Favorite colors change
with my ever-varying moods;
smoky lavender.

Suddenly awake -
There's no ghost beside my bed
Yet his voice lingers.
